SOBIAD  promotes inter-disciplinary as well as multi-disciplinary research that addresses complex national and international social, economic, political, demographic, ecological etc. problems.

The social sciences provide insights into how we organise and govern society, and how social structures and institutions evolve and change. They also provide us the opportunity of better understanding rules and institutions, human and social behaviour and of identifying the factors which contribute to the social, economic, political and cultural changes.
