DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF MULTIPURPOSE EXTENSION BOX

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Technology is advancing every moment creating smarter devices. Every new device is trying to make activities easier and comfortable S. Khodyachykh, (2006). Life will be awesome while using multi-purpose extension box. The multi-purpose extension box from the mains, the Live wire passes through the fuse and switch and continues to all the other sockets. The Neutral wire passes just passes straight to the other pin in the sockets (in your case, the black wire).

If a tester is lighting up when brought in contact with the Earth terminals, it necessarily means there is a short between Earth and Live terminals somewhere.
If you have a multi-meter, set it to ‘buzz’ (the option which lets you check continuity) and go on eliminating places of short. It should be pretty straight forward to find it. Start from the exposed solder points.

Multi-purpose extension box with Single 3 Pin Universal socket and 3 meter cable is used for supplying the power, circular shape universal extension board with cable. The cord can be coiled by turning the face plate. With the multi-purpose extension box you can control devices in your home such as fan, light, fridge, AC… Main feature of the project is its low cost and compactness. With this multi-purpose extension box, we are able to switch on and off remotely any device plugged into it.

1.2 SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The study will cover the qualitative and quantitative analysis that is involved in the design and construction of multipurpose extension box

1.3 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The present study has been designed to evaluate the construction of multi-purpose extension box. The study has also explain the various materials required in the design and construction of multi-purpose extension box.

1.4 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
This study shows that multi-purpose extension box can control devices in home such as fan, light, fridge, AC… Main feature of the project is its low cost and compactness. With this multi-purpose extension box, we are able to switch on and off remotely any device plugged into it.

1.5 LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
The major handicap of this study is that of time factor. The time under which this study was carried out was too short for the researcher to do a thorough and more comprehensive research work. This study was done coupled with academic stress and this may have resulted in some minor faults in the study. Financial problem, Ability to raise money for the project work was a big challenge.
