ABSTRACT
The iron is security device for preventing burglarly and ensuring safety of lives and properties. This project report has six captivating chapters that gives a detailed description of the project work. Chapter one gives the introduction, motivation for the project uses and advantage of the project. Chapter two reveal the fuctional design and fuctional description of thee components of the door. Chapter three uncovers the manufacturing process as well as the problem and propect of large-scale production of the door. Chapter four consist of the cost evaluation of materials. Chapter five gives the performance evaluation of the iron door and suggestion for future development. Chapter six gives the conclusion of the project report.

INTRODUCTION
The need for security against the criminals entering a building especially by fore with the intention of sealing and carting away valuable properties cannot be over emphasized. In this society where there is an alarming rise in violent crimes.
There are so many equipment used as protection against burglary; one of such is the iron door. With the advent of iron doors, the era of forcefully entering a house by burglars is gradually fading away. This equipment is making crime prevention to be domestically attainable, thus facilitating government effort geared towards a crime free society.

1.1 MOTIVATION FOR THE PROJECT
As Mechanical Engineering student and patriotic citizens of our great country-Nigeria, it is one of out National properties especially in the intra society level. With this instinct for an organized societal security, we accept this great challenge to create a major technology break through.

1.2 USES OF THE PROJECT
The iron door provides a means of closing or sluthing off one room, compartment or area. It also serves as barrier to danger, attack by mosguitoes, wild animals, and mostly human invaders like thieves.
The iron door is mostly use to reduce the rate of increase of violent crimes in the society, to facilitate intra-society security, to enhance self preservation, hence, it is usually accessible to the generality of Nigerians especially conscious ones.

1.3 ADVANTAGES OF THE PROJECT
-iron doors can be made or produced with minimum cost. The need for these doors promote patriotism, that is everyone now become involved in the struggle for a crime free society.
It find application in homes, industries prison yard, bank, school, market and so on.
