INTRODUCTION
All well organized office have records, that must be kept safe for future references
To keep these record offices should have a bookshelf or cabinet not just the normal open bookshelf. We all know but a bookshelf covered with printed fabric and the essence of covering it is to avoid dust and reduce the of dusting or been destroy by the sect etc.
The general office of the department of General Art and Industrial Design (G.A.I.D) is no exception.
The office’s function among other things the clerical works of the department which include student records staff welfare admission.
It is necessary therefore that all these documents are kept safe from dust and rodents and as neat as possible for easy retricular and use in time past. There has been a problem school officer’s talking it as a stress upon themselves in searching for documents due to the hack of proper organization which has led to their destruction by termite etc.
Statement of problem
The problem that had to this study is the effect of wood fabric as a primary raw material in the bookshelf construction.
Bookshelf in an office should not just be an ordinary piece of wood. Furniture (s) in other words it should create an alluring and captuating appearance to whoever steps into the office.
Without bookshelves in the offices document will be destroyed by insect but with the aid of a well constructed and covered bookshelf documents would be properly organized for easy retrievals.
